Myriesha Barber
Education Coordinator
Myriesha joined Toledo GROWs in 2024 and brings a rich background in psychology, community engagement, and education. She holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology from BGSU, an MA in Depth Psychology with a focus on Community, Liberation, Indigenous, and Eco-Psychology, and is currently completing her PhD in the same field. With years of experience in behavioral and community mental health, Myriesha is deeply passionate about creating tangible resources—like community gardens—that nurture mutual support and empowerment.
She develops and leads educational programs for youth and adults, emphasizing environmental education and the importance of green spaces in urban revitalization.
When she’s not inspiring others, Myriesha enjoys cooking, baking, creating art, exploring new places, and making memories with her family!
